This is probably my favourite project of all year. I really liked it because it left lots of room for creativity, and it was a great project to express yourself through. In my portrait I was trying to capture the side of me that most people don't see, a more quiet, gentle side. I think I succeed in that as well, and that's why I like it so much.
Point of View
The photos are a little random in this project, but that's because I was trying to capture variety in them. I think they turned out alright though.
Toy Story
In the project Toy Story I tried to tell the story of a troll rescuing his friend from falling. This is one of my earlier projects, and I liked it because of the amount of creativity it gave.
Love
In my love photos I tried to capture three different types of love: The love between friends, the love between family, and romantic love.
Field Trip Photos
I really like the way the majority of my photos from Queen Elizabeth Park turned out. Though I had to edit most of them because the brightness of my camera was turned up too high. My favourite would have to be the photo of Vega I actually took on the bus, I thought it captured a certain emotion that was really interesting.
Leading Lines
Leading Lines was one of my weaker projects, the only reason I'm including it here is because I love the editing work I did on the photo of the pole. Originally it was just a silver pole with a blue sky in the background, but I experimented with the color balance to make the sky look purple and I really like the way that turned out.
Jekyll and Hyde
Jekyll and Hyde was another one of my favourite projects to do, just because I really love portrait photography. I think I captured my two emotions well: sorrow and joy.
Holiday Themed Photos
All of my holiday photos were taken on Christmas, and this was definitely one of my favourite projects just because I really thought they captured the warmth of the season.
Texture
For my texture project I tried to focus on bright colors, this was the first time I experimented with saturation to really make the colors pop, and I think it turned out relatively well.
Rule of thirds
This was the first photo I took. It was taken downtown in Boston. It's still one of my favourite photos I've taken all year.
